Let's Talk Interview Attire ...

When you are preparing for a job interview, whether virtual or in-person, your dress code should be the same. The expectation during the interview has not changed simply because your location may have. You should always dress appropriately, depending on the industry you are interviewing for.

A few quick tips for your attire:

1) Be sure to RESEARCH the company's dress code prior to your interview. That little bit of research will help you choose an outfit that coveys who you are and your ability to fit into the company culture.

2) Wear colors that suit YOU. Be sure to wear colors that work well with your skin tone and look good on camera. Seek out solid colors & subtle prints. Check the lighting with your outfit selection, especially if you wear glasses!

3) Wear a signature item. This may sound silly, but wearing a piece that you are "known for" can help you get noticed & bring you CONFIDENCE. (ie. brooch pin for women or maybe a pocket square for men)

4) Be mindful with your accessories. Keep the look polished and not overstated. When virtual, be careful of any interference with ear pods/buds.

5) Dress HEAD to TOE! Although during an interview they may only see you from the waist up. Accidents happen ...you do not want to be caught with your pants down or half dressed! It's not a good first impression. Plus, when you are fully dressed, it keeps you less distracted, allowing you to be more focused on the interview itself.
